We closed our summer program with a family style pot-luck dinner celebrating the transition to NYC of current Flagship program manager Rosa Aleman and welcoming new Clubhouse program manager Jackie Gonzalez, and America’s Promise Fellow, Ellen Daoust.

It was a heart-felt and memorable event marked by a goodbye speech from ICCN Director Gail Breslow and an impromptu poetry reading by longtime member & mentor Gabe Ward.

Everyone contributed a little something to the dinner table and together we had a great big feast in celebration of our collaborative accomplishments these past 18 months.

The event also served as a bit of a ceremony to help pass the “baton” and make way for future accomplishments supported by all members of this wonderful community.

A Note from Rosa to the Flagship:

It has been a great privilege and honor to serve on behalf of the youth at the Flagship Computer Clubhouse.  I wish you all continued success and hope that we remain connected in future projects and creative endeavors.  Stay positive & productive and help Jackie and Ellen preserve the good that comes from the vibe you set together in this space.  I look forward to seeing your projects on the blog!  Stay in touch!!!

w/Much Love,
